A Pianist's Courage | Joshua Yudkin on The Cunningham Piano Show

Pianist and composer Joshua Yudkin has been playing the piano since he was 5 years old, initially starting with classical piano lessons. His parents wanted him to pursue a “safe” career in medicine or law, but during his college years, he gained the courage to become a professional musician. Joshua studied jazz with legendary jazz teacher Jimmy Amadie to better understand how progressive rock and jazz harmonies work. Joshua has gone on to become a Grammy award-winning pianist and composer and has worked with the likes of jazz guitarist Pat Martino, soul singer Teddy Pendergrass, Grover Washington, and Native American singer/songwriter Bill Miller, among many others.
