Yamaha Japan Trip Day 1
The first part of my trip to Japan has me flying from Philadelphia to Los Angeles for an overnight layover. One of the things I’m really amazed at is the fact that my massive Think Tank Urban 15 camera bag that weighs at least 60 lbs or more can slide right under the airplane seat in front of me! Now that is an impressive bag design!!
Before flying to L.A., I was out last night with the Cunningham Piano team celebrating our Dealer of the Year award at Fogo de Chao with reps Travis Mitchell (head of Keyboard division) and Bob Nolen (Northeast District Manager) from Yamaha. One of the things I’m going to really have to watch out is all the yummy foods I’m going to be eating for the next 2 weeks - ouch, this is going right to my tummy line!!
Despite an hour delay leaving Philadelphia, I manage to get to my hotel with a little time to spare before my scheduled dinner with the other members of the team - two district managers from Yamaha USA, and one other salesperson like myself. Our group was supposed to be much larger, with Yamaha Institutional reps and other salespeople, but for various reasons this has been whittled down. I’m really looking forward to spending time together with Dwane Hilton from Lacefield Music in St. Louis (www.LacefieldMusic.com) as well as Michael and Chad from Yamaha.
